What should happen
The Archive Products widget draws the page’s own products, which is the main query Siftwren filters. A choice in the filter set changes the address, the script fetches the page, and the widget’s container, .elementor-widget-wc-archive-products, is swapped for the one that comes back, together with the result count, ordering and pagination.
What is not filtered
A product widget that runs its own query is not the shop’s main query, and Siftwren leaves it alone. That covers the Products widget and a Loop Grid with a query of its own. They would show the same products whatever the filter says, which is why the plugin does not pretend otherwise: a filter that touched every query on a page would be touching things it was never asked about.
What to test on a staging copy
- Place the Siftwren Filter widget in the archive template, next to Archive Products.
- Open the shop. Click a value and watch the list change without a reload.
- Reload the filtered address. The same products should be there.
- If the list does not change, set the Product list selector in the settings to the container the widget uses on your page.
If something does not work, write to us with the theme and the Elementor Pro version. A working report from this combination is what moves it from “should work” to “tested”.
Elementor without Pro works with the widget and the shortcode on the shop and category pages through the theme’s own templates. The widget guide covers that case.
