What the old widget does
One widget, one attribute. Add one for Color and another for Size and you have two separate boxes, each choosing filter_color or filter_size in the address. They know nothing of each other, they have no price, stock or rating filter beside them, and the numbers come from the widget’s own count.
What stays the same
The address. A filtered page from the old widget, ?filter_color=red, is a page Siftwren understands, and one chosen in a Siftwren set is one WooCommerce understands. Bookmarks, links from emails and links from other pages keep working across the change.
Read a filter address
Paste the address of a filtered shop page and read it in plain English. Nothing you type leaves this page.
What changes
- One set holds all the filters, in the order you choose, up to thirty;
- the same set is placed with a block, a shortcode or an Elementor widget;
- the numbers are counted per variation, so a sold-out variation is not counted as available;
- chips show what is on and a link clears everything.
Moving over
Build the set, place it where the widgets were, check the shop, then remove the old widgets. Siftwren does not remove anything of the old setup for you.
